Pete Dunne Reportedly Agrees Long-Term Contract With WWE

Pete Dunne has reportedly agreed terms on a new, three-year contract with WWE.

Fightful Select is reporting that the former NXT United Kingdom Champion has agreed to a new deal with the promotion, a three-year contract that was personally offered to the 27-year-old by WWE COO and NXT Executive Producer Triple H before his recent procedure.

It had been reported a few weeks back that Dunne was in a similar position, contractually, to former NXT Champion Adam Cole in that WWE were caught unawares of how soon his deal was expiring. The former NXT Tag Team Champion's initial contract ran out a few weeks ago, although Dunne has continued to appear on NXT television.

The Birmingham-born wrestler has now committed his future to WWE and took part in the relaunch of NXT 2.0 on Tuesday evening, competing in a Fatal-4-Way Match to crown a new NXT Champion, which was won by Tommaso Ciampa.

The Bruiserweight first appeared for WWE in late 2016, appearing in the United Kingdom Championship Tournament, before signing a contract in early 2017.
