Following a period of renewed friendship between three of Japan's biggest pro wrestling promotions. New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Pro Wrestling NOAH, and All Japan Pro-Wrestling announced today they will join forces for a supercard pay-per-view later this year.
NJPW Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi revealed at a press conference the three promotions will work together to produce the 'All Together Again' pay-per-view on Friday, June 9 from Ryogoku Kokugikan. The show will be broadcast live in English and Japanese on NJPW World pay-per-view and will cost approximately $30. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity.
No matches have been announced for the joint show as of yet but Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kento Miyahara, and Kaito Kiyomiya were all at the press conference, suggesting they will be in action on June 9.
NJPW, AJPW, and Pro Wrestling NOAH previously worked together to present the All Together events in 2011 and 2012 following the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami that rocked Japan. The first show was held in Tokyo on August 27, 2011 and featured a main event of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Go Shiozaki, and Suwama vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, Kenso, and Takashi Sugiura.
The second show was then held on February 19, 2012 and was main evented by Hiroshi Tanahashi, Suwama, and Takeshi Morishima vs. Go Shiozaki, SANADA, and Tetsuya Naito. All proceeds from the events were donated to the Japanese Red Cross.
