NXT 2.0 fan favourite Nikkita Lyons is out of action after allegedly suffering a ‘freak accident’ in training.
Lyons was set to wrestle in the Semi Finals of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, but was replaced by Tiffany Stratton after it was revealed that Lyons had suffered injury. As of writing, the nature of Lyons’ injury is unknown, with Josh Briggs claiming it was a freak accident on NXT 2.0.
Lyons herself took to twitter after the news broke, Tweeting:
“Thank you all for the well wishes! Determined more than ever now. Everything happens for a reason. Much love & positive vibes.”
On NXT 2.0 on May 24, Stratton overcame Fallon Henley to book her place in the final of the tournament, with Roxanne Perez booking her place in the final earlier in the night, after defeating Lash Legend.
Lyons was one of the favourites to go all the way in the tournament, before news of her injury broke, and it remains to be seen if the injury is legit or a work.
