It looks like NWA could be soon to lose one of their biggest stars after Nick Aldis revealed that he is leaving the company.

Aldis took to Instagram to announce to his subscribers that he has given his notice to the NWA, with PWInsider noting that the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion is not happy with the NWA or its current direction. With Aldis’ contract set to expire in January 2023, if things aren’t sorted between the two sides soon then it looks like we may be seeing the end of Aldis in the NWA for now.

Reports earlier this year said that Aldis had ‘magma heat’ with NWA and President Billy Corgan, but whilst this seemed to mainly be kayfabe, it seems there could be some truth to the reports.

The combined sixth longest reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion in history, Aldis has been a key player in the NWA’s rebirth since signing with the historic promotion in 2017, notably putting the title on the line against Cody Rhodes at All In in 2018.
