Nia Jax wins the WWE Women's Title At SummerSlam 2024

Nia Jax is the new WWE Women's Champion following her win over Bayley at SummerSlam.

The final moments of the match saw Tiffany Stratton charge to the ring with a referee as she looked set to cash in her Money in the Bank contract, only for Bayley to knock Tiffy from the apron and to the floor.

Nia Jax soon took advantage, hitting a Pop Up Powerbomb, a Powerbomb, and a second and third Banzai Drop to pick up the win over Bayley. Jax and Tiffany Stratton then celebrated together like two happy friends.

Jax's win at SummerSlam ended Bayley's WWE Women's Title reign at 118 days. Bayley had been champion since she defeated IYO SKY at WrestleMania 40.

Nia Jax’s title win caps off a remarkable rise for the 40-year-old. Jax found herself out of WWE less than one year ago, having only returned full-time in September 2023. Jax’s in-ring work had drastically improved since her first run in the company and she went on to win the Queen of the Ring tournament earlier this year to earn the title shot at SummerSlam.

Reports in recent weeks suggested the expectation was Nia Jax would be rewarded for her improved in-ring performances.
