Former WWE star Nia Jax appeared on The Sessions with Renee Paquette this week, discussing a range of topics including why she turned down a surprise appearance in this year's women's Royal Rumble match.

The Irresistible Force declined to participate in the match, noting that she is still under her 90-day non-compete clause from when she was released on November 4 of last year.

Regarding whether she would consider a return to the ring, Nia said:

"I never want to say never, because I do love the feeling I get in the ring. I do enjoy it".

"Like, I loved wrestling. I didn't like the sh*t, the politics, and all the other BS. But also like, you know, I'm not getting any younger and ever talk to you about it. Like I'm trying to find my man so I can start popping out babies".

Jax was signed by WWE in early 2014 and trained at the Performance Center. She was promoted from NXT to the main roster and sent to Raw in the 2016 draft.

A former Raw Women's Champion and two-time WWE Women's Tag Team Champion, Nia's release was a shock to many. At the time, it was reported that Nia had requested a short leave of absence to work on her mental health.

She confirmed during her appearance on The Sessions that she had declined to be vaccinated against COVID-19, which may have led to her exit.

Jax's last match was a loss to former tag partner Shayna Baslzer on the September 20, 2021 episode of Raw.
