Undisputed Era

The Undisputed Era are new NXT Tag Team Champions, after defeating SAnitY on last night's weekly edition of NXT.

The titles are Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish's first taste of gold since signing with WWE, although it's unclear yet whether the belts will be defended under the Freebird rule - which would of course mean that Adam Cole is champion also.

SAnitY were represented by Eric Young and Killian Dain, with Alexander Wolfe still injured (in kayfabe) as a result of the WarGames match in November.

Fish and O'Reilly were assisted by Cole's heel tactics, but Nikki Cross interfered to even the odds. Despite this, the Era were still able to win in 13 minutes or so.

The new champions are best known for their time in Ring of Honor, where all three men enjoyed success. O'Reilly and Fish are three time ROH Wold Tag Team Champions, and the former also enjoyed a main event singles run where he became ROH World Champion (actually defeating stablemate Cole).

Fish also met singles success to a slightly lesser degree, winning the ROH World Television Championship. Cole is the biggest singles star of the three, and is the only man to ever hold the ROH World Championship three times. He was also a member of the Bullet Club, before being ousted from the stable and replaced with Marty Scurll.

The trio have impressed since debuting at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III, where they assaulted Drew McIntyre moments after he won the NXT Championship from Bobby Roode. They emerged victorious in the landmark WarGames match last month, defeating SAnitY and the team of Roderick Strong and the Authors of Pain.

This week's show also saw a WWE UK Championship match between Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate, and Dunne was able to emerge victorious in another very well-received bout.
