A new championship match has been added to the WWE Evolution card as the first all women's WWE event will now see NXT Champion Kairi Sane defend her title against former champ Shayna Baszler on October 28 in Long Island, NY.

The total of announced matches for the historic event now stands at four, with the Sane/Baszler rematch joining Trish Stratus vs. Alexa Bliss, Lita vs. Mickie James, and the final of the 2018 Mae Young Classic - since that tournament hasn't finished airing yet, there'll be no spoilers here!

On top of that, we also know there will be matches for the Raw and SmackDown Live Women's Championships, as well as the newly minted NXT UK Women's title. Of course, we'll have to wait until we're through Super Show-Down in Australia to see how the card might shape up because while everybody is Down Under, Becky Lynch will defend her SmackDown Women's title against old foe Charlotte Flair.

As for Sane and Baszler, this will be their eighth meeting in singles matches believe it or not - although five of those took place at NXT live events, and another was the final of the 2017 Mae Young Classic.

Earlier this year, at an NXT TV taping, Baszler came out on top in a singles bout against The Pirate Princess, before the pair faced off again in a singles match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 last month with the NXT gold on the line. Sane came out on top, ending Shayna's reign at 133 days.

The match will mark Sane's first defence as champion.
