Ring Of Honor held their 2024 Death Before Dishonor PPV last night, and it was a show which featured several gruelling matches, and importantly some title changes, with two new champions being crowned.

The ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta had his first title defence since January due to being sidelined with an injury, putting the championship up for grabs against Lee Moriarty, who recently lasted 10 minutes against Yuta in a Proving Grounds matchup. Both men had a feeling out process to start but things broke down around 5 or 6 minutes into the match, with some big moves being hit. After locking Moriarty in an armbar, Yuta was taken by surprise as Moriarty rolled him up and used the ropes for leverage, which was legal as both men had used their allotted rope breaks. Yuta handed Moriarty the gold as a show of respect after the match.

After being frustrated with losing in the tournament to crown the inaugural champion, Red Velvet has targeted ROH Women’s TV Champion Billie Starkz ever since, resulting in this matchup. The match kicked off hot, with Starkz attacking right out the gate, but Velvet managed to fight her way back into the match. After physical moves, submissions, and near-falls, Starkz faked an injury to gain the advantage once again. However, Velvet copied her just after, getting one up on Starkz and nailing the Mama’s Recipe for the victory, winning her first gold in AEW/ROH.
