Naomi Comments On Joining The WWE SmackDown Brand

Naomi returned to the WWE after nearly two years away at the 2024 Royal Rumble event, entering at number two in the match and putting in an impressive showing by lasting 1 hour, 2 minutes, and 18 seconds.

She didn’t show up on the post-show episode of RAW, but she returned back to weekly WWE television on the following episode of Friday Night SmackDown in a backstage segment, revealing that she had signed a contract with the SmackDown brand. Call-up from NXT Tiffany Stratton was also revealed to have signed a SmackDown contract. In a WWE SmackDown Exclusive interview on YouTube, Naomi commented on returning to SmackDown.

“It feels very special, magical, more exciting than anything I’ve ever done this far in my career thus far in my career. To have the opportunity to be back and return in such a way, I’m still on a high about it all. I’m still adjusting because there’s a lot of new faces, a lot that I don’t like, and also a lot that I remember and I do like. So yeah, I’m just getting reacquainted again and having an opportunity to come back, I’m ready and willing to work my way back up through the ranks and hopefully get myself back into the championship picture. But before I do any of that, I gotta glow.”

During her time away from WWE, Naomi reigned as TNA Knockouts World Champion.
