Feb 17, 2020
On the Raw after the Royal Rumble, MVP competed in his final match in WWE against his son's favourite wrestler, Rey Mysterio. Soon after, The Franchise Playa appeared on the
After The Bell podcast,in which he told Corey Graves that he wanted to work as a backstage producer after he retired.
The former United States Champion will now get his wish, as MVP confirmed during a recent episode of
The Hall Of Fame podcast with Booker Tthat he will be re-joining WWE as a backstage producer. He also hinted he would be interested in an on-screen role, similar to his segment on last week's episode of Monday Night Raw.
MVP said: "I'm going to go ahead and give you a scoop. Whether or not I'll be seen on WWE television more has yet to be seen, because I don't make those decisions. But I would definitely make myself available for an on-screen role in some capacity, but I'll be joining the team as a backstage producer."
The former IWGP Intercontinental Champion is known to have a close relationship with Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman, so it is expected he will link up with him going forward.
