Goldberg came face to face with The Undertaker on Tuesday night's SmackDown, the final hard sell before their battle at Super ShowDown on Friday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Before the two icons locked eyes, however, Goldberg cut an intense, yet wholly believable, promo, responding to Undertaker's comments from the night before on Raw.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio

, Goldberg is given general framework for his promos, but the verbiage is all his own, saying, "Bill Goldberg's not being scripted by these writers, Goldberg's in a different game. Goldberg's in the Paul Heyman/Brock Lesnar thing where they work everything out and obviously Bill is saying what he wants to say. He doesn't have the people telling him what to say."

In the wake of Jon Moxley ranting across several different podcasts about the WWE creative process, lamenting having to read ill-fitting promos written for him by writers and by Vince McMahon himself, a story about Goldberg delivering a quality promo from his own mind does strike a chord.
