Melina Clarifies Reports Of A WWE Return
She left the company in 2011

Former WWE Women's Champion Melina says she has not re-signed with the company amid rumours about her impending return to the promotion.
Melina, who left WWE in 2011, was seen on Monday Night Raw for Legends Night at the start of January, leading to further speculation that the two-time Divas Champion and three-time Women's Champion could be set for a permanent comeback to the WWE roster.
The former manager of tag-team MNM has now clarified her position, saying that while talks have occurred between her and WWE over a return, a knee injury is currently keeping her out of action.
Melina told WrestleTalk: "It was talks of [a return]. Talks of seeing if it was possible and all that stuff. Everyone made such a big deal out of it.
“I was in talks with [WWE], but I never signed a contract, there was nothing going on. Just ‘hey would you consider, would you be open?’. I’m like ‘hell yeah’. Well it turned out I have like a bad knee, and I can’t wrestle.”
Melina also pointed out that she was not aware if her knee injury was the only reason she had not yet been re-signed by WWE.
She added: "Who knows if I didn’t have a bad knee if they would have signed me? Or you never know, if I had a good knee they wanted to see if I was open to it, but probably not get signed. That’s just the way wrestling is. It’s never a guarantee”.
