Matt Riddle out for the rest of 2022
Dec 12, 2022
Matt Riddle won't be on WWE TV for the remainder of 2022.
It has been announced that the former Raw Tag Team Champion is expected to be out for six weeks after he was written off TV on the December 5 edition of Monday Night Raw.
WWE tweeted: "BREAKING: Due to the attack by @WWESoloSikoa on #WWERaw, @SuperKingofBros is expected to be out of action for six weeks."
Riddle was written off TV on Raw following a post-match attack from Solo Sikoa after The Original Bro and Kevin Owens lost a WWE Undisputed Tag Team Title match to The Usos. Sikoa took out Riddle with a Samoan Spike and multiple Samoan Bulldozers and the former United States Champion was removed from the arena on a stretcher.
Michael Cole noted that Riddle is out of action due to "significant trauma to his trachea." If Riddle is dealing with a legitimate injury is unknown.
Riddle has been a featured performer on WWE TV in 2022, first in his RK-Bro tag team with Randy Orton and then as a singles competitor in feuds with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins.
