Main Event Of ROH Death Before Dishonor 2023 Revealed

We are less than two weeks away from Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor 2023, and the main event of the show has been confirmed, with the ROH World Championship set to be defended.

Champion Claudio Castagnoli will be putting the strap on the line against Mark Briscoe, with the ‘Sussex County Chicken’ challenging for the title at the urging of Eddie Kingston. The issues between Kingston and Castagnoli are showing no sign of cooling down, but with Kingston competing in the NJPW G1 Climax tournament, he suggested Briscoe challenge for the title instead.

This will be Briscoe’s fifth shot at the ROH World Title in his career, with Briscoe’s last shot coming against Adam Cole in 2013. The younger Briscoe brother is hoping to land his first ROH World Championship, a feat that older brother Jay achieved twice. For Castagnoli, this will be his 10th scheduled defence since regaining the title from Chris Jericho at Final Battle in December 2022.
