Madison Square Garden has announced that fans wishing to attend the September 10 WWE Friday Night SmackDown will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

MSG, making the announcement on their official website (per PWInsider), say that guests purchasing tickets for WWE's return to the Garden in September will therefore need to have received their final vaccine dose at least 14 days prior to the event - by August 27 2021 at the latest.

The only exception to the ruling will be for children under the age of 16, who instead must provide proof of a negative antigen or PCR COVID-19 test if they have not been fully vaccinated. They must also be accompanied by an adult who is fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

Proof of vaccination must be provided in the form of documentation from the healthcare provider that administered the vaccinations.

WWE' announced their return to Madison Square Garden for the September 10 Friday Night SmackDown last week. It will will be the first time the promotion has held a show at their spiritual home since a live event in December 2019.
