Los Ingobernables de Japon could be set to add a new member to their ranks.

The faction lost SANADA to Just Five Guys earlier this year and the former LIJ member has since gone on to win the New Japan Cup and the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. SANADA successfully defended the belt for the first time at Wrestling Dontaku on May 3 against former faction-mate Hiromu Takahashi but SANADA didn't end the night standing tall after he and Just Five Guys were laid out by the returning Yota Tsuji. The former Young Lion will challenge for the IWGP World Heavyweight Title at Dominion on June 4.

After laying out SANADA, Tsuji gave the trademark LIJ salute before he carried Hiromu Takahashi to the back, seemingly signalling his intentions to join the stable.

Tetsuya Naito - the leader of LIJ - addressed Tsuji's actions, noting that he is unsure if the stable will accept him as a member.

Naito told Tokyo Sports: "We have received his intentions. But I'm not sure what our answer is yet... I heard that Tsuji went back to Mexico right away again. For now, I can't say anything until he comes to Japan. Is his next match going to be at Osaka Castle? If so, it will be after Osaka Castle at the earliest, won't it?"

Many have tipped Tsuji to be accepted into the faction and eventually become the new LIJ leader after Tetsuya Naito retires.

Los Ingobernables de Japon has been one of the top stables in New Japan Pro-Wrestling since it was formed in 2015. The group currently consists of Tetsuya Naito, Shingo Takagi, Hiromu Takahashi, BUSHI, and Titan. Along with SANADA, EVIL is a former member of LIJ.
