Liv Morgan has been fined
Feb 7, 2024
The criminal case against WWE's Liv Morgan has been officially closed, according to PWInsider.
Morgan (real name Gionna Daddio) was arrested on December 14 in Sumter County, Florida for possession of marijuana, possession of drug equipment, and possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoid following a traffic stop.
The most serious charge of possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoid was dropped in January after the State of Florida had no way to prove its case. Morgan was set to have a hearing on the remaining charge but Morgan entered a plea of nolo contendere (a plea by which a defendant in a criminal prosecution accepts conviction but does not plead or admit guilt) on January 31.
A fine of $543 was imposed on Morgan following the plea. The charge of possession of marijuana could have resulted in up to one year in jail and a $1000 fine in Florida as it is a first-degree misdemeanour.
There was no heat on Morgan with WWE management following her arrest. She returned from injury as the #30 entrant in the women's Royal Rumble on January 27 and made it to the final two before being eliminated by Bayley. Morgan is reportedly scheduled for a big push in 2024.
