Latest Update On AEW's Yearly Event Schedule

It looks like All Elite Wrestling are going to be doing things a bit differently to WWE when it comes to how many shows they put on throughout a calendar year.
Per a report in this week's
Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW will be looking to put on somewhere between 100-120 live events per year - and that includes house shows, pay-per-views, and weekly TV (
which will debut on October 2 it was announced yesterday).
According to
Dave Meltzer, All Elite will be doing 51 weeks of that Wednesday night show per year, and maybe even as little as just four big pay-per-views.
For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what was written in the latest
WON: "The goal right now is to run 100 to 120 live events per year, probably four PPVs, 51 television shows and many Saturday night house shows and on occasion more than one house show a week, but with the idea that in spreading the talent out, the top talent does maybe 75 matches, a number hopeful to keep their ability to work great matches high, since that’s probably more of a key goal is high match quality on top as compared with any other promotion."
