Last week, the wrestling world almost imploded after it was revealed

Bruce Prichard was going back to WWE in a creative role after 10 years away

.

Then, the wrestling world was celebrating with glee, as it was reported here, there, and everywhere that Bruce was the man who produced Batista's sensational return to Raw last Monday, where The Animal ruined Ric Flair's 70th birthday bash with an unnerving backstage attack.

With the rumour and innuendo suggesting that Bruce's podcast (the wonderful

Something To Wrestle)

could come to an end, the man himself set the record straight on last week's episode.

Bruce will continue to do the podcast with Conrad Thompson

, but the pair's live events will end after Starrcast II while the pair work out how they can fit them into Bruce's new schedule.

Bruce also revealed in the podcast that his role with WWE is currently undefined.

Now, per a recent episode of

Wrestling Observer Radio

, we've learned more about Bruce's role, with Dave Meltzer claiming Brother Love's “technically not on the writing team,” while he's said to be behind the likes of Michael Hayes, Ed Koskey, Dave Kapoor, and Road Dogg in the pecking order.

Dave claims that initial reports about Bruce's role were overstated, and his position isn't as high as many first believed.

No doubt Bruce will have something to say about this on this week's
