Last 30 Minutes of WWE's Supersized SmackDown To Be Commercial Free

WWE will present a special, supersized episode of Friday Night SmackDown this week, with the final 30 minutes of the two-and-a-half hour broadcast being commercial free.

The October 15 episode of SmackDown is one of two shows this month which will be switched to channel FS1 in order to accommodate FOX Sport's coverage of Major League Baseball. With ratings for the SmackDown's on FS1 usually taking a slight hit, WWE will present a special-edition episode of the blue brand on Friday 15 October, including an extended run time.

An advertisement for the upcoming show ran during FOX's coverage of the Iowa vs. Penn State college football game on Saturday and, as per Ewrestlingnews, it was noted that the final half-hour of the extended show would not have any advertisements or commercial breaks.

The final 30 minutes of the blue brand's extended show will go head-to-head in live broadcast with AEW Rampage on Friday; the first time the two shows have competed directly for ratings.

SmackDown on Friday 15 October is advertised as having an appearance from Brock Lesnar, the in-ring return of Sonya Deville, and a main-event pitting Becky Lynch against Sasha Banks.
