In early November, former WWE Tag Team Champion Lance Storm announced he would be returning to the company as a producer.

He tweeted:

"For those wondering: After SWA (Storm Wrestling Academy) closes I will be returning to the #WWE to work as a Producer. I'm really looking forward to working with such a high level of talent again."

Since 2005, Storm ran his own wrestling school out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. His academy boasts graduates such as Tyler Breeze, Tenille Dashwood, Oney Lorcan and Peyton Royce.

Storm recently appeared on the Talk is Jericho podcast

to discuss returning to WWE. He explained that as he was getting older, he was finding it more difficult to take bumps and the physical toll that comes with running a wrestling school. His children had also grown up, so he didn't need to be in Calgary full-time anymore.

He said: "I'm 50 years old now so I'm looking at the finish line of my career, but it was a case of a lot of different factors. My body has been getting more sore or tired and because I'm so hands-on. Like I still have matches with every student. I've been questioning how much longer I can do it.

"With my kids now being adults, my oldest daughter lives on her own now and my youngest is 19, the need for me to stay home full time isn't as much."
