Kyle O'Reilly has taken to social media to say he will 'need some time to heal' after speculation regarding his wellbeing at the conclusion of this week's WWE NXT.
O'Reilly was viciously attacked by Adam Cole at the close of Wednesday's show to further the developing angle between the former Undisputed Era teammates. The assault concluded with Cole dropping O'Reilly with a Brainbuster on the ringside steel steps.
Reports from fans in attendance at the live event speculated that the 33-year-old had suffered a seizure and the medical attention he was receiving was legitimate, although sources confirmed that O'Reilly's injuries and removal from the area on a stretcher was a part of the storyline.
O'Reilly has now used Twitter to address his status, stating that he will need to take some time to recover from the attack he received from Cole.
The former NXT Tag Team champion wrote: "Thanks everyone for checking in, your love and support truly means the world. I was placed on a stretcher last night out of concern for my neck after receiving a brainbuster on the steps.
"Thankfully I can move around somewhat OK today but I may need some time to heal.
"As much as that hurt and sucked last night, the betrayal was worse. Coming back from this stronger and with a thirst for revenge. Best served cold."
