Kurt Angle Never Heard Back From WWE Over NXT Role
Angle was let go by WWE last year

Kurt Angle has revealed how Triple H reached out to him about taking a position within WWE NXT, only to never respond when he indicated his interest.
Angle retired from in-ring action in 2019, at WWE WrestleMania 2019, before transitioning into a backstage role as a producer. The WWE Hall Of Famer was released as a part of COVID-19-related budget cuts last year.
The 52-year-old has since been offered a chance to return to WWE as manager for Raw superstar Riddle and on a legends contract, and Angle has also revealed that he discussed a trainer's role with NXT Executive Producer Triple H.
However, upon saying he would be intrigued by such a position, Angle never heard back.
Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show Podcast, he revealed: "Triple H, he contacted me about seven months ago and wanted me to help out down in NXT. He wanted me to be a trainer and he only said ‘Hey, all I need you to do is go over stuff with talent. You can do it from home on your computer, you can do a zoom call, just go through the tapes with them in their match and tell what they did right and wrong.’
"I said I’d be interested and I never heard back from him. Long story short, they were interested but at the last second they must have backed out, which is okay with me."
