Kurt Angle has commented on rumours surrounding John 'Bradshaw' Layfield's history of ribbing fellow WWE superstars in the locker room.

JBL has attracted heat in the past for alleged bullying people backstage in WWE but Angle, who worked with Layfield in a feud over the WWE Championship in early 2005, says the former APA member would usually verbally tease everyone.

The WWE Hall Of Famer believes JBL wasn't looking to be mean or cause harm to anyone and was instead trying to find ways to keep the rest of the talent on the roster entertained.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle show, he said: "JBL just, he verbally ribbed everybody. He didn't do a lot of ribs, but he was very vocal, and you know, he was a bit of a bully. I mean, He's harmless; he doesn't mean to be offensive.

"He just has that personality, where, you know, he needs to rib on someone, pick on someone, about something, you know, he was entertaining though. It wasn't really a bad thing. It was actually a good thing that he did. It made our days on the road a lot more entertaining that he was ribbing people."
