Jonathan Gresham is out of this weekend’s PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2022 event due to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis.

The ROH World Champion was due to face Davey Richards at the event - the first BOLA since 2019 - but revealed on Twitter that he has a confirmed COVID-19 case:

“Unfortunately, I will not be making it to LA tomorrow for BOLA. I recently caught covid, and as a result, I had to miss GCW at the Hammerstein Ballroom. I am still testing positive as of today and don't want to put any colleagues/fans in harms way.”

BOLA is scheduled for Saturday January 29 and Sunday January 30, with Gresham one of the original favourites to win the entire tournament. Gresham was also originally scheduled to defend the ROH World Title against Blake Christian at The Wrld on GCW on Sunday January 23, but was pulled prior to the show. Christian instead wrestled Lio Rush at the show in one of the highest rated matches of the PPV.
