All Elite Wrestling's next pay-per-view is only one day and is set to be main evented by Jon Moxley vs. Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship. This will be Moxley's first title opportunity since he joined the young promotion after his contract with WWE expired.
The Maestro Of Mayhem enjoyed a successful spell in the wrestling behemoth, capturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money In The Bank 2016. During a recent interview with
Rick Ucchino at Sportskeeda, Moxley explained all he felt when he won the title was "a giant sense of relief" as he thought he had disappointed his fans for too long through his inability to capture the Championship.
Moxley said: "Best way I can describe it, it was a giant sense of relief. I had been pushing the boulder up to the top of the hill and had it roll all the way back down so many times and I felt like I disappointed so many fans by failing to win the title so many times. Once I finally was able to check that box and get that thing, the biggest feeling honestly was relief."
Moxley did admit, however, that winning the AEW World Championship on Saturday will mean more to him than his WWE title win, largely because he will have achieved it on his own, being a character he defined himself, as opposed to his Dean Ambrose gimmick in WWE.
He added: "This, I feel, will be a far greater feeling. You know this is me, on my own, doing things my way. Totally different situation. Not even a comparable situation, as good as a night as that was."
