For the second year in a row, Pro Wrestling NOAH will be a part of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.

It was jointly announced today by both promotions that Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Yokohama Arena on Saturday, January 21 will see Pro Wrestling NOAH talent take on NJPW wrestlers. A special press conference for the event will be held on Friday, January 6 at 8 am GMT.

The NJPW vs. NOAH show comes after Kongo's Kenoh, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Hajime Ohara, Tadasuke, and Hi69 interrupted Los Ingobernables de Japon's post-match press conference at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4. The two factions previously faced off in an eight-man tag at night three of Wrestle Kingdom 16 on January 8, 2022. It was hinted during the confrontation, though, that members of both stables will clash in singles action, with the headline match seemingly set to be Tetsuya Naito vs. Kenoh.

Night three of Wrestle Kingdom 16 was also held at Yokohama Arena. The show was headlined by Kazuchika Okada and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Keiji Muto and Kaito Kiyomiya.

Wrestle Kingdom 17 in Yokohama Arena will begin a busy weekend for Pro Wrestling NOAH as Great Muta Final "Bye Bye" is set to take place on Sunday, January 22. The Great Muta will team with Sting and Darby Allin in Keiji Muto's final match under the mask.
