John Cena may not have been a full-time WWE Superstar over the past five years or so, but the 16-time World Champion still seems to have a huge impact when it comes to ticket sales at live events.

Cena has been back in the WWE since Money In The Bank 2021 last month and has worked Monday Night Raws, Friday Night SmackDowns, and SuperShow live events across the USA since his come-back to the promotion.

The 44-year-old has mainly wrestled in six-man tags since his WWE comeback but, according to a new report from F4WOnline, the mere involvement of Cena's name on the advertising has seen a huge increase in ticket sales for recent shows.

The report indicates that WWE’s SuperShow in Fort Myers, Florida on August 7 reportedly saw 63% of its sales come after Cena was announced for the event.

Cena being added to match cards in Louisville, Milwaukee and Detroit also reportedly had a huge affect on their respective ticket sales, with all three shows seeing increases of 50%+ after Cena was added to the show.

Cena is booked to take on Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2021 in two weeks, culminating what the promotion has billed 'The Summer Of Cena'.
