John Cena Hopes The Rock Returns To WWE

It’s a question never far from wrestling fans lips; when will The Rock return to WWE?

Whether you love or loathe The People’s Champ, you can’t deny that he’s a true needle-mover and one of the biggest stars on the planet, and as long as he stays in great shape, you can guarantee there’ll always be links between him and WWE.

However, The Rock is busy with his super successful Hollywood career, but so is John Cena, who recently made his own return to a WWE ring.

Speaking to ET during a press junket for his latest movie The Suicide Squad, Cena was asked about The Rock returning to the fed:

"Dwayne Johnson is a star in his own universe. There is no one like him, there will never be anyone like him. For him to be gracious enough to return to WWE, it's own global entertainment phenomenon, that's great for WWE and it is great for The Rock.”

While noting that he didn't want to speak for Johnson, Cena added, "As a fan of WWE, I really hope he returns. I think it would be special for everyone."

Could it be thrice in a lifetime for Rock and Cena? Never say never.
