Joe Hendry's First WWE NXT Feud Revealed
First feud in WWE NXT for Joe Hendry revealed
Jul 17, 2024
Joe Hendry is certainly making friends in WWE, with the top TNA star returning to the Performance Center on the July 16 edition of NXT and ruffling just a few feathers during his appearance.
Hendry joined commentary for the six-man tag pitting TNA/NXT’s The Rascalz vs. Gallus, with the Coffey Brothers and Wolfgang not exactly enamoured to see their fellow Scotsman in the booth.
During a backstage segment, Joe Coffey was lamenting Hendry’s presence in the company, and after uttering his name Hendry appeared to chat with Gallus. Hendry mockingly said he understands Gallus’ frustrations as after years of working hard Hendry himself just strolls in to NXT and becomes the most talked about performer in the company, before stating that he ‘likes it here’ and is intending to stick around in NXT.
Joe Coffey claimed that nobody in NXT likes Hendry, and that when fans think of Scotland they think of Gallus and Drew McIntyre, and not some ‘flash in the pan’. Hendry told them they’d feel better if they believed in the ‘answer to all life’s problems’; Joe Hendry.
So it looks as though we’ll be getting Hendry vs. Gallus at some point in the future, but before then Hendry will need to stay focused for the upcoming TNA World Championship six-man elimination match at Slammiversary on July 20.
