We recently spoke to wrestler, Impact Wrestling producer, and former WWE writer Jimmy Jacobs as part of an Impact media conference call. The multi-talented figure gave his thoughts on the difference between creative departments in WWE and his current place of employment.

Jacobs specified Impact's taping schedule as a major factor in terms of creative, explaining that it gives Impact an advantage in terms of long-term planning and storytelling. In WWE, he stated that it often felt as though creative was treading water due to the demands of Raw and SmackDown, and the fact that both shows go out live on a weekly basis.

Jacobs was infamously fired from WWE in October 2017, the reason reportedly being a selfie taken with Bullet Club members during their 'invasion' of a Raw show in Ontario, California.

Since being let go, Jacobs has joined Impact Wrestling as a behind the scenes producer - and is currently also managing the gigantic Kongo Kong.

Jacobs also spoke of his excitement and satisfaction in managing Kong, a man he has known for years.

Before joining WWE, Jacobs was a star of the US independent scene, perhaps best known for his heel run in Ring of Honor as the leader of The Age of the Fall - a heel stable also featuring Tyler Black, now better known as WWE main-eventer Seth Rollins.

Jacobs is a five-time ROH World Tag Team Champion, winning the titles twice alongside Black, twice with BJ Whitmer, and once with Steve Corino. He spent 12 years with the promotion.

He has also competed in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (where he again won the tag team titles alongside Black), as well as promotions such as IWA Mid-South, Combat Zone Wrestling, Border City Wrestling, and All American Wrestling.

For UK viewers, IMPACT airs on 5Spike every
