The case concerning Jeff Hardy's 2022 DUI arrest is now closed, following months of delays.

The 45-year-old will not serve any jail time after submitting a written plea of 'no contest' on Thursday. He was found guilty, however, and sentenced to 38 days in jail (which was credited as time served).

Furthermore, he will serve two years' probation, have his license suspended for ten years and have two years with an interlock device and 90-day impoundment. He must also complete a court-mandated DUI school or drug rehab programme (as well as community service) and pay a $4,000 fine (plus $586 in court costs).

Hardy was pulled over and arrested in Florida on June 28 of last year and reportedly blew a 0.294 and 0.291 on his two breathalyzer tests, far above the state's legal limit of .08. He was charged with one count of DUI (his third such offense), one count of driving with a suspended/cancelled/revoked license and one count of driving while his license was restricted.

He was subsequently suspended without pay by AEW and told he could only return to the company if he completed a treatment programme and maintained his sobriety.
