After a 2021 in wrestling that saw inter-promotional become the norm, WWE finally joined in the action this past Friday, announcing that IMPACT Knockouts Champion Mickie James will be competing in the 2022 Royal Rumble.

Now that this avenue is seemingly open between the two companies, IMPACT World Champion Moose has wasted no time in calling out WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Taking to Twitter, Moose said the following:

“I Claim to be the Wrestling God. He claims to be The Head of the Table. With all this Forbidden Door talk….. what if ….,, @WWERomanReigns”

Although originally used to describe the relationship between NJPW and AEW, ‘the forbidden door’ has become the buzzword for inter-promotional booking, and has seen the likes of NJPW, AEW, IMPACT, AAA, ROH, and GCW amongst others all working together in some capacity in the past 12 months.

Moose has experience with ‘the forbidden door’ before, having fought AEW’s Kenny Omega for the IMPACT World Championship at Against All Odds in June 2021.
