Ikemen Jiro is the latest name to be released by WWE as part of major cuts on September 21, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

Jiro signed with WWE back in December 2020 and he spent much of his time on NXT as a comedy wrestler. He also teamed with KUSHIDA in Jacket Time before the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion left WWE in April 2022. Jiro had been utilised at NXT house shows and on NXT Level Up in recent months, last wrestling on September 12.

Prior to signing with WWE, Jiro performed as Jiro Kuroshio for the likes of Wrestle-1, DDT Pro-Wrestling, and All Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Other developmental talents released during the night include Daniel McArthur, Kevin Ventura-Cortez, Alexis Gray, and Brooklyn Barlow.

WWE have instituted major cuts in the aftermath of the company's merger with UFC on September 12. WWE have already made cuts behind the scenes, with over 100 office employees losing their jobs on September 15.
