Homicide Reveals How He Would Like To Retire

With a career stretching back to 1993, ‘The Notorious 187’ Homicide has seen and done it all, with title runs in ROH and TNA, and appearances for AEW in 2021 alongside his current run in GCW. Now in conversation with Sam Roberts on Not Sam Wrestling, ‘Cide mapped out how he wants his eventual retirement to go:

"I would love a program, but my vision, the way I see it, it would have to be New York City. I have to bring my mother. She never came to pro wrestling. She's one of the people who told me, 'this is not a job, get a real job. Go to King Food.' [Laughs] Bring my mother, take my boots, put them in the ring, and just leave them. Tell people, 'thank you so much.' Leave and my new chapter is become one of those guys behind the scenes. I might not wear a suit, but I'll be behind the scenes like a producer, coach, whatever. As a performer, my vision is wrestle somebody from New York City, wrestle my last match in New York; I started in New York, I'm gonna finish in New York. People say, 'I'm gonna take out Homicide.' The only one that is going to take out Homicide is Homicide. I already got a video too. Homicide is walking the street and there's a guy with a barrel shotgun and he kills Homicide. Camera turns and it's me. I killed Homicide. That's my vision. Bring me mother, take my boots, and put them in the ring," he said.

With GCW promoting a huge show at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom in January, surely that’d be the perfect place to bow out?

"January, too soon,” stated Homicide. “I'm still coming to support. He did a show for me, 5150 in Brooklyn, I wasn't going to retire. I wrestled Minoru Suzuki and I was thinking about it. I told my friends, 'I think I'm done.' Queens, New York against one of the guys that I idolised and was on my bucket list. 'I think I'm done.' Nahhhh.”
