Persistent rumours suggested that WWE were keen to sign The Guerrillas of Destiny and brother Hikuleo, and anew interview with Hikuleo suggest that talks between the two sides did take place.

Hikuleo spoke with Fightful Select ahead of NJPW Lone Star Shootout on November 10, when the subject of WWE came up. Hikuleo found himself embroiled in WWE affairs in late 2022 when he defeated WWE’s Karl Anderson for the NEVER Openweight Championship at the finals of the World tag League on December 14.

Prior to a Loser Leaves Japan match with Jay White in January 2023, reports suggested that WWE were actively looking at Hikuleo, with Hikuleo himself confirming during this recent conversation with Fightful that talks took place about him joining the company. However, Hikuleo maintains that they (himself, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa) are where they are supposed to, and have remained in New Japan.

Hikuleo and The Guerrillas of Destiny are the sons of former WWE World Tag Team Champion Haku, and were the cornerstones of Bullet Club for several years.
