Heath Slater was noticeably injured last Saturday night at Impact's Bound For Glory pay-per-view. He began moving awkwardly after hitting an offensive flurry on several wrestlers upon entry into the Call Your Shot gauntlet. At one juncture, Heath was being checked on by ringside officials.

Heath tweeted that same night from a hospital bed. The belief was that he had sustained a groin or lower abdominal injury.

On Saturday, Heath confirmed the extent of his injuries, writing, "After two doctors telling me that my injury was a severe inguinal hernia, I made an appointment with a hernia specialist.

OFFICIAL DIAGNOSIS: partially torn abductor muscle (from the bone) and a slight tear in my groin.

RECOVERY: luckily no surgery, just gotta suck it up and deal with the pain for a while. Lots of rest, ice, physical therapy (I'm coming for you @nmotion_pr #recovery #badluck #rebuild #hurting #outfornow #butnotforever"

Heath was initially booked to win the Call Your Shot gauntlet, but due to his injury, friend and partner Rhino won the match. Per the stipulation, Rhino's victory resulted in Heath finally receiving (in storyline) a contract with Impact Wrestling.
