WWE legend Goldust has been released by the company.

Pro Wrestling Sheet

has learned that The Bizarre One's contract recently expired and he's currently winding down his 90-day no-compete period - something just about everyone who is released from the company has to go through.

While it's not clear when the former Intercontinental Champion's contract actually expired,

Pro Wrestling Sheet

has also learned that Goldust will be a free agent come May.

Goldie has removed all mention of WWE from his social media accounts.

Pro Wrestling Sheet

also mentions Goldust could be facing Cody Rhodes at AEW Double Or Nothing on May 25. During this week's Road To Double Or Nothing, Cody noted that "it's personal" between him and his unknown opponent, while his seamstress randomly asked if she should stay away from gold costumes while she was on the phone to him.

Goldust hadn't wrestled a televised match for WWE since last year's Greatest Royal Rumble match after kicking off last year in the tag team with Mandy Rose in the Mixed Match Challenge.
