During a recent interview with Wrestle Zone, Fred Rosser described his New Japan Pro-Wrestling run as a "dream come true."

"It's been an absolute dream come true. Ever since I started loving wrestling, since I came out the womb, it's always been WWF but I've always followed New Japan. I've always followed Japanese wrestling but I was always intimidated with the style. I never thought I could keep up or hang in with these guys," Rosser said.

Mr. No Days Off made his NJPW debut back in September 2020 and he has been a regular on Strong ever since. He has spent much of his time in the company battling Bullet Club and he is scheduled to face Hikuleo in a No Disqualification match on May 21.

Rosser also detailed how his NJPW run came together. The former WWE Superstar noted it all started with Lance Archer, who invited him to Showdown In Los Angeles and this led to a conversation with Rocky Romero.

The COVID-19 pandemic struck before Rosser was invited for a tryout but Romero reached out in May 2020.

"I said, Rocky, let me just check with my family and see if it's a good idea. Because I was with my family and I didn't want to infect my family, because at the time COVID was rampant. My family ultimately blessed me and said it sounded like a great opportunity and was COVID compliant and said go for it, and in 2020 I had the match of the year with Tom Lawlor," he continued.

"I said all the time, WWE was a dream come true and I did my thing as a Nexus member. I did my thing as a tag-team wrestler with Prime Time Players, I tried to do my thing with 'Make Darren Young Great Again' with Bob Backlund. It's just unfortunate that people that worked under Vince McMahon didn't have my back, but with New Japan I was on my own and doing my thing.

"And to get match of the year with Tom Lawlor was an incredible, incredible accomplishment for me. To get the respect of the fans is amazing, but the respect of your peers is top priority. Tom Lawlor said about our match that he never thought he would've got into the ring with someone like me, but he said the minute we touched, he knew it was going to be a classic."
