Another former NXT UK star is heading to the United States with a new name.

It was revealed in a short video package on Tuesday's episode of NXT that Oro Mensah would make his debut on the developmental brand next week and footage of the talent in action on NXT UK was played throughout, revealing that the wrestler is Oliver Carter.

Mensah has been a part of WWE since 2019 and he is a former NXT UK Tag Team Champion. He won the gold with tag team partner Ashton Smith in June of 2022, defeating Moustache Mountain, and Teoman and Rohan Raja in a Triple-Threat, but the champions would be forced to vacate the gold shortly after due to a serious knee injury to Smith.

NXT UK has since been shuttered by WWE and the majority of the roster was released, including Ashton Smith. WWE have moved some talents to NXT, though, and the likes of Tyler Bate, Meiko Satomura, Gallus, and Blair Davenport have appeared inside the WWE Performance Center in recent weeks.

To replace NXT UK, WWE plan to launch NXT Europe next year.
