Back in December, NXT Superstar Nick Miller was granted his release from WWE so he could spend more time with his family in Australia.

Since then, we haven't really heard anything from the former TM-61 member, but now, we know he'll be wrestling in the New Japan Cup next month against Hikuleo. Miller will be going by the name "Mad" Mikey Nicholls from now on.

Miller commented on the announcement saying: “I live. I die. I live again…”

CHAOS member Rocky Romero also tweeted about the announcement, confirming Nicholls' place in the group: "Welcome to CHAOS “Mad” Mikey Nicholls (@WWENickMiller ) #njcup #LADOJO #CHAOS #MAD"

Before joining WWE in 2016, Nicholls was a mainstay over in Japan, turning out for Pro Wrestling Noah over a five year period. During that time, he and Shane Haste (Shane Thorne in NXT) won two GHC Tag Team Championships and the Global Tag League Fighting Spirit Award in 2015.

Three more New Japan Cup first-round matches were announced earlier today as well, including Kazuchika Okada vs. Michael Elgin, Will Ospreay vs. Bad Luck Fale and Toa Henare vs. Lance Archer.
