Back in October, Diamond Dallas Page said he had competed in his last match.

On the WINCLY podcast,

he said: "I've got to say no, truthfully, and I'm not working you. My body feels too good that I don't want to screw anything up... I really don't see it happening. Some Diamond Cutters, I have plenty of those left in me, but actually working, I'm going to say no right now."

DDP has seemingly changed his mind, however, as AEW announced that the former WCW World Heavyweight champion would compete in one last match on next week's episode of Dynamite as he teams with Dustin Rhodes & QT Marshall against MJF and The Butcher & The Blade. This will be Page's first match since WrestleMania 32 when he wrestled in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

The match came about as a result of his confrontation with MJF on last night's episode of Dynamite. After MJF began his promo and called out Cody, his former friend instead chose to square up to him, causing "Motormouth Jack Off Friedman" to invite The Butcher & The Blade to the ring. MJF then proceeded to berate DDP, but Page couldn't take it any longer after Friedman insinuated he was going to sleep with one of his daughters.

He was able to fend off Butcher and Blade with Diamond Cutters but was sent sprawling to the mat after a Low Blow from The Salt Of The Earth. Page wasn't left lying for long, however, as QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes made the save, causing MJF and his allies to scurry backstage.
