All Elite Wrestling have announced the signing of Satnam Singh, the first-ever player from India to be drafted by the NBA.
Singh will report to the Nightmare Factory, the training school run by Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall, to begin training as a professional wrestler.
"While we've recently secured some of the hottest free agents on the planet, I'm also deeply committed to cultivating our own homegrown stars and the next generation of extraordinary professional wrestlers," Tony Khan said. "In addition to Satnam's commanding 7'3" stature, I was impressed with his high level of athleticism and charisma. He's an exciting addition to our roster, and I'm looking forward to our fans getting to know Satnam's personality and watching his development."
Singh was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 2015. He played in several NBA development leagues but never made a regular-season appearance in the NBA.
Singh is no stranger to professional wrestling, having taken part in a WWE tryout back in 2017. WWE earmarked the giant to be the next Great Khali but Singh turned down their contract offer to focus on basketball.
