Superstars on the NXT UK roster have had unique journeys to WWE. From WALTER's beginnings in Austria to Rohan Raja's time with IMPACT Wrestling, all of them have eventually wound up on WWE's UK brand.

Tag team wrestler Oliver Carter had his own unique journey to WWE, starting in Switzerland as a 15-year-old, and he reflected on wrestling in his home country during an exclusive chat with Cultaholic Wrestling's Mitch Waddon.

"When I started in Switzerland, the scene is small, small, mini small so you have like a maximum of 12 shows. Like I said, I was 15 so all these guys all grown up, they don't really want you to wrestle because you're 15 and they're older. It makes sense because why should a 15-year-old kid wrestle against somebody who's older, right? So I wrestled in some funny places like barns and in front of festivals with people you can't even relate with," Carter said.

"And just having all those memories where you're like, 'Okay, it's kind of awkward but it's still a journey.' And being from that position to the position where I'm now, I did everything but I still made it. Especially if you say you're from Switzerland. I'm only the second guy who made it from Switzerland to WWE."

The other man from Switzerland to make it to WWE is, of course, 'The Swiss Superman' Cesaro and Carter admitted it is a dream match of his to go one on one with his fellow countryman.

Mitch also spoke to Aleah James during the same interview, which you can check out here.
