Elias Returns On WWE Raw As Ezekiel
Ezekiel appears on WWE Raw
Apr 5, 2022
While Ezekiel Jackson initially appeared to be returning to WWE on the Raw after WrestleMania, it was actually Elias who made his return to the company inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
Elias, now known as Ezekiel, interrupted Kevin Owens' promo on Monday Night Raw and after a disgruntled Owens asked about The Drifter, the new man in orange trunks announced he was Ezekiel, Elias' younger brother.
All this did was irritate Owens, though, and KO's annoyance only grew after Ezekiel called him a liar, with the former Universal Champion eventually quitting the ring and heading backstage.
Elias had been gone from WWE TV since August of 2021 when he threw his trademark guitar into a fire and announced Elias was dead. There were reports of a scrapped repackaging later in the year due to the gimmick being deemed to be too close to 'Macho Man' Randy Savage by Vince McMahon.
Elias has been with the company since 2014 and he is a former 24/7 Champion.
