Well, at least somebody in the biz had a good day today.
It was announced via
Josh Mathews on Impact Wrestling's official Twitterthat "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards has signed a new long-term deal with the promotion, with terms not yet disclosed.
Edwards has been with the company since the start of 2014, when he and Davey Richards debuted as babyface enforcers at the side of MVP. He and Richards, as The Wolves, would go on to hold the company's Tag Team titles together on five occasions between February 2014 and January 2016.
Edwards is also a former World Heavyweight Champion with Impact Wrestling, and has held the X Division title on two occasions.
Edwards appeared in the video alongside Mathews, acting slightly deranged for comic effect, to make the announcement of his new deal. Edwards also stated in the video that Impact Wrestling is his home, and he wants to continue helping the company grow.
Mathews also added that news of another signing would be made on Sunday.
