Former WWE Superstar Dijak has expressed his feelings on the manner in which the company has released talent over the years. Dijak's contract was recently not renewed, despite the wrestler being called up from NXT to the main roster shortly after this year's WrestleMania.
Speaking in an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Dijak discussed instances in which wrestlers found out they had been let go via news websites, rather than being told personally. He stated:
"So every, every six months, there’s like a conference call or whatever. And it’s like, well, here’s the conference call. Yep, two days later, here they come [releases]. And it’s funny, because we all we all start following you [Sapp]. Because you become the way that we find out right?
"It’s one of the most horrific business practices I’ve ever witnessed. And I haven’t been in a lot of businesses, right? But I will always be publicly outspoken about this. [...] So I will be very outspoken about this until it gets fixed. That’s not how this should be done. It’s that should absolutely 100% not be how this should be done.”
Dijak has already been making waves on the independent scene since leaving WWE. He recently made a shock appearance at a Blitzkrieg Pro Wrestling show in Enfield, Connecticut, and has been announced for a match against Michael Oku in the UK-based promotion RevPro.
