Impact Wrestling's No Surrender ended with the announcement that NJPW's Juice Robinson and David Finlay would be appearing on this Tuesday's episode of Impact.

Following the main event, when the show appeared to be over, a video suddenly aired. Footage of Robinson and Finlay in New Japan played, while the NJPW logo flashed intermittently at different points. The video ended with Robinson and Finlay posing for the camera.

Impact tweeted out the video with the phrase, "The door has been kicked open," while tagging New Japan's official account.

Robinson and Finlay held the IWGP Tag Team titles together for one month in 2020, winning the belts from The Guerillas of Destiny at Wrestle Kingdom 14, before dropping them back to G.O.D. a month later.

Though Impact and NJPW had a very strained relationship (due in part to Impact's handling of Kazuchika Okada and Tetsuya Naito years ago), the friction has apparently been dissipating in recent times. Impact's Chris Bey took part in New Japan's Super J Cup back in December.

Impact and NJPW talents mingled in the same segment on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, as Impact Tag Team champions Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson ran interference for a match that included NJPW's KENTA (along with three current/former NJPW performers in Kenny Omega, Lance Archer, and reigning US champion Jon Moxley).
