With Brock Lesnar reportedly unsigned from WWE at this time, the possibility of the former UFC Heavyweight champion returning to the world of MMA has been floated about. Though Lesnar is 43 years old, his appeal as one of UFC's top all-time pay-per-view draws cannot be ignored.
UFC President Dana White spoke about Lesnar to TMZ Sports ahead of Saturday's UFC Fight Night, and admits he can't envision Lesnar returning to the Octagon, due to his age.
“Sure, I'd love to hear how he's doing and how his family is, things like that, but I think that's going to be the extent of a conversation with him," White said. "You know the guy has had a long, killer career. He actually came in and became a UFC Heavyweight Champion and the guy's made a lot of money. I just don't see him coming back over here again at his age.”
A week ago, Bellator MMA President Scott Coker said he sent feelers to Lesnar, but admits he's not sure of Lesnar's exact contractual status.
The former UFC Heavyweight champion left the organization after a loss to Alastair Overeem in 2011. He returned for a one-off fight with Mark Hunt in 2016, and later teased possible bouts with both Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones.
Lesnar has been inactive since dropping the WWE championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36, in a match taped in late March.
